Product Description
This Old Wrigley Field Photo has been framed in reclaimed wood. The photo is a newly printed copy of a photo Wrigley Field in Chicago, circa 1914. The field was built that year for the Chicago Whales baseball team, members of the now defunct Federal Baseball League. The Whales’ team president, Charles Weeghman, built the field – then named Weeghman Park. When the Federal league folded in 1915, Weeghman then purchased the Chicago Cubs National League franchise and moved them to Weeghman Park. Several years later, William Wrigley became an investor in the park, and gained complete financial control by 1921. The park was renamed Wrigley Field by 1927.
