Back in the day, the University of Chicago Maroons football team was part of the Big Ten Conference. This newly Chicago versus Michigan Football photo captures the feel of old college football, and the history of the University of Chicago’s football program, which was abolished in 1939. Football returned to the school in 1963 with a club team. The team now competes in NCAA Division III football.
